The Awards & How to Enter

The Awards & How to Enter

Athletes in Acting Awards, LLC (AIAA), is an awards program honoring professional athletes, sports journalists and sports franchise owners in television, radio, print/outdoor advertising, movies, and the stage.

The AIAA’s mission is to provide and honor excellence in the international advertising, media and performing arts industries with the world’s best-judged creative competition for professional athletes performances.

The program also honors the advertising agencies and production shops for their creativity in producing, directing and writing. AIAA will also serve as a means to promote the advertising and media industries, as well as provide product and “star power” to other show business forms in addition to athletics. AIAA will act as a “crucible” to encourage athletes to perfect their performance skills beyond their fields of expertise. AIAA views itself as a “conduit” bridging the gap to Hollywood’s infrastructure to expand their fan base and endorsement opportunities.

A blue ribbon panel of industry judges, along with a jury of sports peers and the public at large, will judge the works of candidates chosen by the AIAA Nominations Committee based on creativity, execution, concept and popularity. A democratic and non-political system of judging will be enforced. The best works will be presented with awards.

AIAA will not instruct the judges-other than having them consider the concept equally, if not moreso, than the execution of the work being simply performed. Judges will view all entries submitted and a short list will be selected from which the final nominees will be chosen and eventual winners will be announced.
